For such a simple recipe our raw chocolate brownies taste truly decedent. They are a great sweet fix, perfect with a cup of tea and an ideal snack for taking out and about. We regularly make a batch and slice into the small bite sized pieces and enjoy our raw chocolate brownies throughout the week.

They are gluten free, refined sugar-free and vegan.

Prep time  – 10 minutes
Makes  – 8 large or 32 small bites

Ingredients
300g of dates
130g of pecan and walnuts
50g cacao powder
40ml of dark maple syrup
15g of chia protein powder (optional)
1 tsp. of tahini

Method

Line a loaf tin with baking paper.

Put all the raw chocolate brownie ingredients into the food processor. Blend together until smooth and everything is combined.

Then tip the raw chocolate brownie mix into the loaf tin and press down firmly. Make sure the surface is flat and even.

Then place the raw chocolate brownie into the fridge for 30 minutes to chill.

Remove from fridge, turn out onto a chopping board and slice.

Store the raw chocolate brownie in an airtight container, in the fridge for up to 7 days.
