A tasty, chewy and easy to make high fibre snack that has your health at its core. These filling chocolate and ginger fibre boosting bliss balls will help boost your fibre intake, lift your energy and we find that they help us to not reach for the chocolate box (which in case you are wondering is in the second cupboard from the end, top shelf, in the kitchen).
We’ve selected ingredients that we know are naturally high in fibre and blended them together to make these chocolate and ginger fibre boosting bliss balls.
HOW MUCH FIBRE IS IN EACH BLISS BALL?
We reached for our calculators and worked out that there are roughly 3.4g of fibre per 30g ball. Adult bodies need 30g of fibre per day, these bliss balls may be small but they are a very helpful addition to boosting your daily fibre intake.
Chocolate and Ginger Fibre Boosting Bliss Balls
Makes 20 x 30g balls
Ingredients
120g un-sulphured apricots
80g dried figs or dried prunes
60g dates – remove stones
100g almonds or walnuts
60g desiccated coconut
50g tahini
50g cacao powder
30g flaxseeds
30g pumpkin seeds
30g chia seeds
20g fresh ginger
30g toasted sesame seeds to roll the bliss balls in.
Method
Add all the ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth-ish and you can squeeze the mix together into a ball.
You can weigh each ball to 30g portions or roughly roll. You may also like to roll the balls in toasted sesame seeds, simply tip the toasted sesame seeds into a bowl and roll the bliss balls into them.

HOW TO STORE
You can store them in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, they even freeze well if you want to make the recipe in bulk.
